CQ Coastal Developments Pty. Ltd. is a privately owned property group established by Capricorn Coast locals, Tub Barlow, Luke Hendrie and Mark Windress.
As long term locals who have always been part of the community, the group is committed to ensuring that they meet and understand the desires and needs of the people by providing quality design and construction in their premium residential developments.
The company is focused on providing quality estates on their own sites, or in conjunction with land owners who would benefit from having them develop their property under a development agreement to fully realise the potential of their property.
Tub Barlow was born in Yeppoon, and after leaving school, joined his family’s earthmoving business based at Coorooman Pocket on the Rockhampton Emu Park Road. Barlows Earthmoving business recently celebrated 50 years of business in the local area.
Tub has worked in his family’s business for 30 years, and during this time has been an integral part of its progress from a plant hire and land clearing company to a diversified civil contracting company. In recent times, the business has expanded into civil contracting, sub-division works and quarrying from a hard rock and sand quarry that supplies road making and concrete products to contractors and concrete plants.
Tub’s role has expanded from plant operation into project management of civil contracting work such as residential land subdivisions. He brings to CQ Coastal Developments a broad practical experience and an extensive knowledge of the civil construction area.
Luke Hendrie is a qualified carpenter who has been working in the building and civil construction industry for over 25 years. Luke’s experience has been gained through successfully completing various projects throughout Queensland and the Northern Territory including Austar cable TV street rollout, Power & Water Authority undergrounding of overhead power lines and residential sub-division construction.
After working in the industry for many years, Luke established Hendrie Constructions as a company that specialises in the delivery of the often complex and labour intensive elements of civil construction. Based in Yeppoon, Hendrie Constructions services all of Central Queensland with recent projects including the Emu Park Centenary of ANZAC and various works within the Rockhampton and Livingstone Shire Councils.
Luke brings to CQ Coastal Developments a hands-on management approach that ensures a high level of quality and safety in the installation of underground services.
Mark Windress was born and educated in Rockhampton and moved to Yeppoon in 1989, after working in several parts of Queensland in a variety of engineering roles.
Mark is a Civil Engineer, trading as Mark Windress & Associates which is a Yeppoon based consulting engineering firm established in 2001.
